The University Museum, Cultural History
Closed spring 2023 - awaiting rehabilitation.
The University Museum, Cultural History houses archeological, ethnographic and art historical exhibitions, in addition to collections from Norwegian city and rural life.
The museum displays one of the foremost collections of church art in Europe, and unique archeological objects from the Norwegian Viking Age.
The museum building from 1927 is today listed.
The University Museum of Bergen Cultural history is closed and needs to be rehabilitated to meet modern safety and security requirements. In the meantime, the public will get to experience samples from the University Museum's cultural history collections in the museum's natural history building.
